Found on the upper level of the market, our Marketplace hosts a variety of classes covering everything from cooking tips to DIY projects.

Are you looking for a way to meet new people? Or do you already have a partner or group in mind, but you need a friendly place for a fun outing? You’re sure to find an activity at the market that’s just right!

If we don’t already have something planned that interests you, let us know what you’d like to see. Custom and private events, as well as team building packages are available.

Cooking classes

It doesn't matter if you know your way around the kitchen, can't tell a saucepan from a frying pan, or just want a fun night out. We have a class for you!

In one of our cooking classes, you’ll learn to cook from a professional chef! Classes are intimate, with a maximum of 20 students, and feature demo-style teaching. You’ll also learn tips and tricks from the professional chef. After the class, your group will sit down to enjoy the delicious meal or treats you have prepared.

Cost: variable, see class details. Includes a recipe and food prepared during the class.

Class duration: 2 to 2.5 hours depending on food preparation time and other circumstances.

Note: please notify us ahead of time if you have any food allergies. Classes are not recommended for a specialty diet unless otherwise stated. The Kitchener Market is not a nut-free environment.

DIY and craft workshops

If you have a Pinterest board full of DIY or craft ideas, you’re in the right place. If you've never used a hammer or paint brush before, you're still in the right place! We provide a welcoming space and instruction for people of all skill levels. When you sign up for one of our DIY or craft workshops, you’ll have a fun night out and leave with something to show for it!

Grab your friends, make a date or just come out and have some laughs. We provide everything you’ll need (unless otherwise stated) to create a great gift or something to display in your own space.

Past class topics have included hand-tied flower bouquets, painted wood signs, succulent gardens and more.
